UNEP-AIST Workshop on "Waste Plastics Management in Developing Countries" in Tsukuba, Japan, on 1-4 March 2011


International Environmental Technology Centre (IETC) in cooperation with the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) organized on 1-4 March 2011, in Tsukuba, a workshop on Waste Plastics Management in Developing Countries.

Objectives

The objective of the workshop was to support the project “Converting Plastic Waste into Fuel” currently being implemented in Thailand and Philippines by:

  1. bringing together developing countries and technology suppliers to discuss the problems encountered for technology transfer
  2. bringing together partners for the countries where the project is being implemented to share their experiences and learn from each other.
